Gitty About Adding Drupal Modules with Git

Here is the situation:
We are using a distro of Drupal that I made, which is just drupal core with a bunch of selected modules included. My distro can be found here: http://github.com/z3cka/drupal/tree/distro-z3
Note that this screencast is actually on the private repo that is a fork of the above. I will merge the new changes to the public distro-z3 at some point.

This is how I add a module to the distro branch and merge it into my core project branch.

So, WHY?

After:

Dependencies of node_import are now met.

Cheers.

The Next Generation Designer Workflow - Adobe Flash Catalys

I have just been notified of a great local event in Vegas next week that I think i will try to attend. My professor recommended me this meeting.

I believe it is the Las Vegas Flex group and they will be covering a bit of drupal.

Being that I am currently in a Flex class to learn and brush up on my object oriented programming skills, I am very interested in learning how action script can interact with drupal and what can be done using these two technologies. My goal is to learn how to develop rich internet applications that can use drupal as their back end for supporting user and content administration.

I hope I can attend this meeting and learn a trick or two about flex and drupal. I will report my findings.

Heading to San Diego for Sand Camp

So, I'm all registered and locked in for the Drupal camp this weekend in San Diego called Sand Camp. I'm pretty excited and hope to learn some new techniques for developing functionality with Drupal.

Looks like the weather won't be that great, but coming from Vegas the Family and I are going to enjoy the Wild Animal Park with some friends on Saturday. Then I will be attending a few sessions of the camp before driving back home on Sunday.

Hope to see you there.
